Dr. Moses T. Asom
Dr. Moses T. Asom is a co-founder of SyChip (recently acquired by Murata) and currently serves as
senior vice president of marketing and business development. Before co-founding SyChip, he was a
director in the Lucent New Ventures Group overseeing photonics and semiconductor startups. Other positions held by Dr. Asom include
marketing manager for optoelectronics components covering Asia-Pacific and South America and
product manager responsible for developing optical transceivers for broadband access.
Dr. Asom holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a Ph.D in
electrical engineering from Howard University. He holds two patents in Optical communications and wireless devices. His research
work includes defects in semiconductors as well as Opto-electronics devices. He has extensive experience in wireless communication technologies such as GPS, WiFi, Mobile TV and WIMAX.
Pankaj Asundi
Pankaj Asundi is vice president and chief
technology officer at Ericsson, where he focuses on Ericsson’s
media, content and Internet and MVNO businesses in North America. Responsibilities include the end-to-end design of solutions using company and
third party products.This focus includes business development activities like collaboration strategies, integration of products and services, channel development and management and revenue management.
Asundi also plays a lead role in client retention, relationship
building and external communication. Prior to accepting responsibility for Ericsson,
Asundi managed the local and offshore application development efforts for both the client server and Internet technologies at First Consulting Group.
Asundi has managed large groups of developers in design, development and support of web, m-commerce,
e-commerce and rules engine and database technologies. He developed and built a profitable outsourcing unit in Latin America.
He has previous consulting experience in telecomm, healthcare, IT and systems engineering. He graduated with a
master's degree from University of Oklahoma. He has received an undergraduate engineering degree from Bangalore University in 1987. He also completed a diploma program in computer management.
Dr. Jon W. Bayless
Dr. Jon W. Bayless has been with Sevin Rosen Funds since the firm’s founding in 1981 and serves as the
president of Sevin Rosen Bayless Management Company. Sevin Rosen Funds is one of the leading venture capital firms in the United States focused on early stage investments in technology based businesses. Since its beginning, the firm has raised a series of nine investment funds from institutional investors. The firm has
more than $1 billion under management.
As a general partner of Sevin Rosen, he has led numerous investments and served on the boards of many companies, both private and public. Typically serving as the lead investor, he has worked closely with the management teams assisting in development of their business
strategies, assisting in recruiting key employees, and working on team development as the business grows. On occasion he has served as an interim CEO. When serving on boards as the
chairman or lead director, he has led board governance and compensation committees. Public boards
he has served on include: International Power Machines (acquired by Powerware); ProNet (acquired by MetroCell); Proteon (merged with Netrix); Landmark Graphics (acquired by Halliburton); Ciena (CIEN); and Airspan Networks
(AIRN).
Bayless has served on the board of several private companies acquired by public companies including: Informed Access (acquired by McKesson); Lightspeed (acquired by Cisco); Monterey Networks (acquired by Cisco); IPMobile (acquired by Cisco); and Fuego (acquired by BEA).
At present, he serves on the following private boards: Xtera Communications; GENBAND; ClearLinx Network; Carrius Technologies; Layered Media; and AirWalk Communications.
Prior to joining Sevin Rosen, he served in various management and engineering roles with Arthur A. Collins, Inc.,
Dallas; the Defense Information Systems Agency, Washington, D.C.; E-Systems,
Dallas; and Motorola Government Systems in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He has held faculty positions at Southern
Methodist University in Dallas; Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia; and the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. He holds a
bachelor's in electrical engineering from the University of Oklahoma; a
master's in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama; and a Ph.D. degree in
engineering from Arizona State University. He has served on the board of directors of the National Venture Capital Association; is a
senior lifetime member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers; and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Naresh Lakhanpal
Naresh is a senior executive with
more than 20 years of tangible and successful experience driving profitable growth, strategy and innovation for global, mid-market and startup organizations. In addition to his roles as
president, CEO and director of Navigational Sciences (NavSci),
Lakhanpal is on the board of advisors of Chrisp Wireless, 5th Generation Systems and previously served on the
board of advisors of Somera and Southern Methodist University’s Information Technology and Operations Management program. Previously, he was
global practice director of Deloitte’s technology, media and
telecom practice, director of wireless sales – Tandem Computers,
director of sales – Celcore as well as serving in engineering and product roles at Ericsson and NEC.
David Tucker
David Tucker is senior director of product
management and product marketing for Linksys’ Connected Office Business Organization (COBO), which develops and markets voice and data products for the small business marketplace. Before
COBO, he led Cisco’s Product Management, marketing and
market development efforts focused on delivering IP Telephony solutions to global enterprise customers.
Prior to Cisco, he co-founded and led Selsius Systems as
president and chief executive officer until November 1998, when Cisco Systems acquired the company.
He is considered a pioneer in the consolidation of voice and data networks. He brought extensive sales and marketing, telecommunications and technical experience to Cisco.
Prior to co-founding Selsius, he served as
general manager of Incite, where he led a team in the creation of a voice and video PBX platform.
He has served as director of marketing for Intecom and
director of strategic marketing at Shared Resource Exchange Inc. He also has worked for ROLM, AT&T and Southwestern Bell.
He holds BBA and MBA degrees in marketing from Texas A&M University. |
