Chris Kleinert is chairman of Hunt Investment Corporation and director of Hunt Realty Investments, Inc., both of which are subsidiaries of Hunt Consolidated, Inc. Hunt Consolidated’s other business interests include oil and gas exploration and production, petroleum refining, electric power generation and transmission, ranching and agriculture. Kleinert’s affiliation with Hunt Consolidated began in 1996 as investment manager for Hunt Financial Corporation. Hunt Investment Corporation is the private equity arm and Hunt Realty Investments is the centralized real estate investment management resource for Hunt Consolidated.

Kleinert received an MBA with a concentration in finance from Texas Christian University, and a BBA in marketing from Southern Methodist University. Prior to joining Hunt, he was employed by Texas Commerce Bank (now JPMorgan Chase) and General Mills.

Kleinert currently serves on the Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees of Southern Methodist University, the Board of Directors of SMU’s Tate Lecture Series, and the Program Committee of SMU's Cox School of Business Southwest Venture Forum. He also serves on the advisory boards of Amegy Bank (Dallas) and the Entrepreneurs Foundation of North Texas. He is a board member of the Dallas Regional Chamber and the Positive Coaching Alliance, a member of the Lone Star Dallas Chapter of Young Presidents' Organization and the Dallas Citizens Council.
